From the Ground Up: DOMER’s Commitment to Sustainability in Action

At DOMER, sustainability isn’t just a trend, it’s a core value. It shapes how we design our products, how we operate our factories, and most importantly, how we engage with the world around us.

On May 3rd, 2025, this commitment took physical form through a desert clean-up initiative, where our team stepped outside the industrial space and into nature, removing plastic waste and raising awareness about environmental preservation.

This wasn’t just a corporate activity. It was a mission to promote sustainability in construction and beyond, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

A Day That Spoke Louder Than Words
On that Saturday morning, DOMER team members came together in the heart of the desert, not only to clean up plastic pollution but to stand for something greater: a shared responsibility to protect and restore our planet’s most vulnerable ecosystems.

Over the course of the day, we removed significant amounts of waste from natural desert areas. This act, while symbolic, had very real environmental impact, and even more importantly, it inspired discussion, reflection, and future action.

Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs)
The clean-up on May 3rd directly supported multiple UN SDGs, reinforcing DOMER’s role in the global sustainability movement:

SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Our clean-up focused on promoting better waste disposal habits and reducing environmental footprint, core components of sustainability in construction and manufacturing.

SDG 13 – Climate Action
By actively reducing pollution in a climate-sensitive ecosystem, this initiative contributes to broader climate mitigation efforts.

SDG 15 – Life on Land
Protecting biodiversity, desert habitats, and native wildlife aligns with our duty to safeguard life on land, within construction zones and far beyond them.

Sustainability in Construction: A DOMER Standard
As a global leader in building envelope systems, including skylights, façades, and translucent roof solutions, DOMER continuously integrates sustainability in construction into its engineering and production processes.

Our systems are designed for durability, thermal efficiency, recyclability, and long service life. We use eco-conscious materials, invest in energy-efficient manufacturing technologies, and work toward reducing waste across every stage of our supply chain.

But our responsibility doesn’t end at the product level. It extends into every decision we make as demonstrated by this event.

Why This Matters
The desert clean-up was more than a one-day event. It was a statement:

Progress is only meaningful when it’s shared.

We share our progress with our team, our partners, our clients, and the communities we live and work in. That’s how DOMER defines leadership in sustainability, not just through innovation, but through action.

What’s Next?
This clean-up initiative is only the beginning of our on-the-ground engagement strategy. We are actively planning future collaborations with schools, municipalities, and environmental organizations to further promote sustainability in construction and inspire climate responsibility at all levels.

We invite our partners and clients to join us, on-site, online, and everywhere we work, to help drive meaningful change.

Because at DOMER, we’re not just building envelopes. We’re building a better future.
